Teaching Christians to Answer the World's Questions
DOES GOD EXIST? - THE COSMOLOGICAL ARGUMENT
Does God exist? That is probably the most important question we could ask. But isn't belief in God really just a matter of blind faith? Don't people believe in God only because they want to? After all, in today's scientific world there isn't really any evidence for God, is there? This podcast starts a series of lessons on the existence of God. The first lesson focuses on the "cosmological argument," which can be briefly summarized as follows:
Premise 1: Anything that begins to exist has a cause. Premise 2: The universe began to exist. Conclusion: Therefore, the universe has a cause.
If these premises are true, then the conclusion must be true. Join us as we discuss whether there is actually any support to believe these premises are true and explore some more things we can conclude about that cause. We'll also talk about some common skeptical objections to the cosmological argument. The next few podcasts are some of the most important lessons you can hear, so come listen in on the class and invite your friends and family as well.
