Teaching Christians to Answer the World's Questions
THE HOUSE THAT GOD BUILT (HEBREWS 3:2-6)
What do Christians mean when they say that the "scriptures" are divinely inspired by God? Does it mean that our modern English translations of the Bible are the literal inerrant Word of God? What about the oldest Greek manuscripts we have found? After explaining what the doctrine of inerrancy actually means, we move on to the analogy made by the author of Hebrews. Jesus is worthy of greater honor than Moses just as the builder of a house is deserving of greater honor than the house itself. How does this apply to Christ and how does it provide further scriptural evidence that Jesus is God?
