Teaching Christians to Answer the World's Questions
JESUS HAS BEEN THERE (HEBREWS 2:17-18)
Jesus became human in part so that He could make atonement for the people. But why did He have to be a man to do this? Why couldn't He remain seated on His throne and atone for our sins from that heavenly perch? But the most important part of this lesson is the realization that "Jesus has been there." He was tempted while here on Earth. When He was tempted He modeled for us how we should react to temptation. Join us as we look at two case studies: (1) Jesus' reaction to the temptation He felt in Gethsemane, and (2) Peter's reaction to the temptation to deny knowing Christ. We will look at how the two reacted very differently to temptation, with very different results. Not only does Jesus understand you because He has been there, but He can help you. All you need to do is ask.
