THE PREINCARNATE PERSONHOOD OF CHRIST
Following the same outline we used when discussing the Father, this lesson turns to the question of whether or not the Son is a "person." After Jesus was born and walked the Earth, the answer to this question may seem obvious. Of course He was a "person." He had a human body, walked among us and interacted just like anyone else. But what about before He was born? Recall that in the last two podcasts we learned that Jesus is God, and therefore has existed eternally. This means that He was around long before he entered into the body of that baby boy in Bethlehem. Does the Bible give us any reason to believe that He was a "person" before He became human or did He take on the attributes of personhood at the same time as He took on the attributes of humanity? That is the key question to be answered in this podcast.
