Teaching Christians to Answer the World's Questions

THE CANON

The Bible is a collection of books, but why were the particular books chosen for inclusion?  We know from our previous podcasts that these were the books that were inspired by God, but how do we humans determine which books were inspired and which were not?  Dan Brown tells us that the Christian Church conspired to keep certain books out of the New Testament because they did not like the messages taught by those books.  Is this true?  The Roman Catholic Church has more books in its Old Testament than Protestant churches.  Why is this and what are the arguments for both views?  Listen to this podcast to find out.
