Teaching Christians to Answer the World's Questions
ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER BECAUSE THE THIEF IS COMING - PART 1 (HEBREWS 3:13-19)
In the musical "Annie" Oliver Warbucks sings that despite all his worldly possession, something is missing. And that "something is someone, but who?" Human beings are relational creatures. Much of how we define ourselves comes from our relationship with others. So who are you surrounding yourself with? The author of Hebrews tells Christians to "encourage one another daily." The temptations of the world are a constant onslaught, and only with the help of the Spirit working through fellow believers do we have any chance of standing up to them. We also need to take the gospel to the world as if there is no tomorrow. After all, if Jesus returns today, there may not be. Gathering with other Christians is an integral part of this command. Join us for this podcast as we talk about (1) the importance of gathering with other believers (including going to church), (2) striking a balance between the urgency of spreading the gospel and respecting appropriate timing, and (3) the role apologetics can play in bringing people to Christ.
