TIPTOE THROUGH THE TULIP - PART 2 (HEBREWS 2:1)
In
this lesson we examine the first two points of Calvinism, Total
depravity and Unconditional election, from the perspectives of what we
call "Conventional Calvinism" and "Moderate Calvinism." Both
perspectives agree that God must initiate the act of salvation. In
essence, we are drowining and He must provide the lifeboat. But once
the boat reaches us, are we free to climb aboard or must God drag us
kicking and screaming? It is the classic discussion of the tension
between God's sovereignty and our free will.
