Teaching Christians to Answer the World's Questions
WE ARE FAMILY (HEBREWS 2:11)
"Holy." That word is bantered about churches every weekend. But what exactly does it mean? We may have some concept that it is an adjective that describes God, but that won't help us with passages like Hebrews 2:11 which says that Jesus made us holy. We as believers are "holy." What do you think of when you hear the word "holy"? The author of Hebrews goes on to explain that Jesus and Christian believers are all part of one family. Does that mean that because we are created beings that Jesus must also be a created being (and therefore not the Word of the eternal God)? How is it that we are part of Jesus' family? Because we are part of His family, Jesus is not ashamed to call us "brothers." Listen to the lesson to find out who does make Jesus ashamed.
