Teaching Christians to Answer the World's Questions
WHAT IS THE TRINITY?
Having spent the last two podcasts on a general overview of what Christianity is all about, we now start looking at a few fundamental Christian doctrines in a bit more detail. Over the next several weeks, we will be taking a detailed look at what Christianity thinks about God. First, we believe that God is a "Trinity." This does not mean that there are three Gods. In fact, Christians believe that there is only one God, but there are three "persons" within that one God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We will look at each person in detail in upcoming lessons, but first we must explain what the "Trinity" means. How is it possible for God to be both 3 and 1? That is what we will explore in today's podcast.
